The highlihts of 2016 for Jean-François Rous, President
Once again, last year was a very busy one for the SAS PIVERT teams but of course what first comes to mind is the triennial audit exercise which, beyond its formal aspect, was the opportunity for an in-depth study: we looked objectively at what we have achieved to build what we want to be: a major player in Energy Transition serving the agricultural sector and the bioeconomy. But we also want to be a company capable of operating a mixed business model, each pillar of which contributes to its sustainability. To realize all these ambitions, we are launching a new activity aimed at developing and commercializing proprietary products for plant nutrition and health.
The highlihts of 2016 for Gilles Ravot, Managing Director
I would say that there were two quite distinct periods in 2016: the first – which Jean-François called the in-depth study – resulted in the decision to launch the “biocontrol” activity (or proprietary products for plant nutrition and health) and the second when we had to rethink the organization and the operation of the company to give us every possible chance of success. In this second period, we put into place an organization based on Business Lines in which all the skills of our teams serve our industrial and economic performance. In addition, I won’t forget that 2016 saw the creation and financing by FINOVAM Gestion and Picardie Investissement of the first start-up originating from the R&D of PIVERT, BioSCO.
